DigUro is a digital urometer (clever name, right?) for patients in the ICU and Recovery. Current ICUs use bags with markings, and the nurses take data by hand. Because these measurements are taken infrequently and not very accurately, the data is almost useless when trying to diagnose an issue based on urine output. Enter DigUro, which automatically, reliably takes measurements that are accurate to the milliliter.
What did I do?
This was a project that me and a friend worked on in tandem. I was in charge of the embedded hardware and software and for creating the sensor that we used to get the high level of accuracy. I wrote an entire blog on this experience, which you can access here.
